Biochemistry & Ecology · Rice University

Haaniya, a Rice University student with a degree in Biochemistry and minors in Environmental Studies and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, explored the intriguing world of microscopic marsh insects at Pennings lab, refining her classification skills. Her passion for nature and science later drove her to delve into agriculture and food science at Rice University Holistic Garden, where as a summer research intern, she explored the culinary potential of mini greens. Now, she’s researching these greens as sustainable and healthier alternatives to spinach, investigating their chemical properties and environmental responses. Besides her academic and research pursuits, Haaniya is a dedicated mentor at our college admissions counseling firm, where she leverages her academic insights to guide prospective students through the college application process. Her editing expertise has significantly helped students secure admission into their dream colleges, like the University of Texas at Austin.
