If you’ve ever Googled the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, you’ll probably think that the scholarships that you’ll get from your PSAT are not a lot. However, the scholarships that you get from the actual corporation itself, which can range from $2,500 to $5,000, are no comparison to what the schools can actually give you. For example, if in Texas alone, being in the top 1% of test takers on the PSAT in your junior year can get you full rides to schools like, UH, UTD, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, and more, just to name a few. However, this is just in Texas alone. You can check out this website to see all the schools that give full rides to people who are in the top 1% of test takers in their state.
